BALE UDANG MANG ENGKING BALI
Bale Udang Mang Engking that located in Bali is Indonesian restaurant with Balinese Experience that to bring exciting dinning experience on their beautiful place while enjoying their speciality in making prawn dish. I’m glad that I got a chance to experienced Bale Udang at Ubud – Bali.
Bale Udang Mang Engking place quite huge and surrounded by a fish pond that have a lots of fish! You can feed the fish while enjoying your foods or chillin while looking at the cute fish swimming. Bale Udang managed to bring the feel of calm and soothing to the visitor. They said the raw food always fresh to satisfied the customer and ready to serve because customer satisfaction is their main goal.
As you can see, you’ll get seat in the bamboo cottage besides the fish pond. The waiters will come to you if you honk the hanging bamboo near the cottage. They have a lots of menu varian and package to choose, lets start the food review!

This menu package consist of 12 course :

- Karedok / Fresh Vegetables with Peanut Sauce
- Gurame Bakar Kecap / Grilled Carp With Sweet Soya Sauce
- Gurame Bumbu Cobek / Spicy Deep Fried Carp with Cobek Style
- Tumis Udang Cabe Ijo / Sauteed Prawn With Green Chili
- Tumis Tauge Teri Asin / Sauteed bean Sprouts with dry anchovy

- Sambal Terasi / Shrimps Paste Sambal

This package enough for 3-4 peoples in my opinion because the many portion of the menu. My favorite is their udang bakar madu, the prawn was so fresh and the honey seasoning make it perfect while the prawn grilled. The grilled Carp also recommended, it’s not smelly and seasoned well! The most important things is their sambal, they have 3 varian of sambals that all taste good especially the matah sambal! Matah sambal always be my favorite sambal and they make it well.
Sup Udang Kelapa Muda (IDR 95k)
Sour shrimps soup that placed in the coconut that taste a little bit like tomyuM but not spicy. The prawns, squid, mushroom, and all the ingredients served fresh and delicious!
Nasi campur Bale Udang Ubud (IDR 55K)
Nasi Campur with deep fried prawn, fish, karedok, sheddered egg, kerupuk, emping, sate lilit, tomato sambal, matah sambal, terasi sambal, and soya sauce with bird eye chili. The portion quite enough for make me full and the sambal taste was so addicting! The prawn quite huge even they only put it 1 😥
Fried Fermented Cassava Spring Rolls (IDR 33K)
Honestly im not the fans of fermented cassava, but this one is the exception. The crispy springroll with fermented cassava inside that made by Bale Udang incredibly delish! They spread cheese and condensed milk on the top of the springrolls.
Es campur (IDR 28K)
Best dessert after a big meal. Indonesian traditional ice dessert always be my favorite after eating Indonesian food.
Es Sarang Singaraja (IDR 28K)
Shaved ice with a lots of fruit on the bowl of happiness. Also recommended to try when you visit Bale Udang.
Orange Squash (IDR 25K)
Fresh orange squash that looks tempting!
